Friday: Adventure begins
  • 4pm depart Brisbane; bus stop 125 Roma St Station (opposite the police station)
  • 5.30pm pick-up Surfers Paradise. Surfers transit centre (10 beach rd. Surfers Paradise)
  • Arrive at Byron Bay and check into our accommodation
  • Dinner and paint party at the famous Cheeky Monkeys!
Saturday: Soak up the sun
  • Breakfast at the hostel kitchen from 8 – 10am
  • Morning optional adventure activity pickup’s from hostel reception (times vary)
  • 10.30am optional lighthouse walk and stop off at the famous Wategos Beach for a swim! (Departs hostel reception, approx. 3 hours)
  • Afternoon – free time to relax and explore Byron
  • 7pm All- you-can eat pizza at the hostel rooftop with Adventure Dudes guides (level 2).
  • Later – Party at Woody’s surf shack nightclub with free entry and a free drink!
Sunday: Fun day!
  • Breakfast at the hostel from 8 – 10am
  • Morning optional adventure activity pickup’s from hostel reception (times vary)
  • 10am checkout of the hostel (or before activity’s. store bags in luggage room)
  • 11am optional beach activities (volleyball and soccer) or free time to relax and explore Byron. (Meet at reception for beach activities).
  • 30pm departure to Gold-Coast and Brisbane (please be at hostel reception at least 15mins before departure)


Cheer Up, Slow Down, Chill Out...

Byron Bay, a coastal town in the southeastern Australian state of New South Wales is today a popular holiday destination known for its beautiful beaches, great surfing, and world class scuba diving sites. Cape Byron State Conservation Park and other surrounding National Parks comprise of sub-tropical rainforests and coastal wetlands unique to the area attracting nature and recreational enthusiasts year round. Cape Byron Lighthouse is located on the most eastern headland of Australia and boasts stunning views of the surrounding coastlines and hinterland. Between June and November, humpback whales can be spotted from headland viewpoints such Cape Byron, Captain Cook Lookout and  Wategos Beach. The local Arakwal Aboriginal people's name for the area is Cavvanbah, meaning "meeting place" and Byron Bay as it is known today remains a sight of significant importance to the traditional custodians of the land. Longboard surfers arrived in the 1960s and used natural breaks at The Pass, Watego's, and Cosy Corner. This was the beginning of Byron Bay as a tourist destination, and by 1973, when the Aquarius Festival was held in Nimbin, its reputation as a hippy, happy, alternative town was established. Byron Bay today is a bohemian coastal town buzzing with world class cafe's, bars and restaurants. With a eclectic mix of culture, fashion, music, entertainment and health retreats. Coupled with its natural beauty and a plethora of outdoor activities, the town and surrounding areas attract all walks of life searching for that unmistakable social and laid-back lifestyle that the town has come to represent.
